Propagation
Sow ripe seeds and maintain a temperature of 19º to 27º C. (66º to 81º F).

Divide the offsets during spring.
The large round bulb should be planted with the necks at the surface of the soil.

Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves unfold from within the base of the previous leaf forming a soft short stem. The sessile leaves are broad elliptical to oblong with a leathery texture.

Flower: The apetalous flowers have pinkish tepals and prominentstamens that are tipped with yellow anthers. There are up to 100 arranged in a spherical terminal umbel that is up to 100mm (4in) wide and is held above the foliage on a marbled scape that is up to 450mm (18in) tall, appearing from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The red to yellow berries contain viable seeds but the plant is commonly propagated by division.
