Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring or autumn in pots.

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings during late summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The light green leaves are ovate to reniform with 5 to 7 lobes forming a cordate base and is up to 80mm (3in) wide. Both surfaces are pubescent and is more prominent in coastal positions. The petiole is up to 125mm (5in) long.

Flower: The flower shape is expanded tubulate with small pale pink petals that are streaked in dark pink and have 6 to 8 fertile stamens. They are arranged in a terminal umbel that consists of 4 to 12 blooms and appears during summer.

Fruit: The fruit is an indehiscent schizocarp capsule with a tapering beak and is covered in fine hairs and contains multiple carpels. The tiny seedsare dispersed by wind and are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
