Propagation
Divide offsets during spring to summer.

Take stem or leaf cuttings during spring.
Sow seed as soon as ripe in a very well-drained media and prick out pot up when large enough to handle.

Botanic information
Leaf: The glaborous thick fleshy silvery blue obovate to broad spathulate leaves are up to 60 mm (2? in) long by 25 mm (1 in) wide with a mucronate apex and translucent entire margins. There are 30 to 70 upright leaves arranged in a tight rosette.

Flower: The yellow tipped deep pink to reddish urceolate flowers are up to 12 mm (½ in) long with 5- uneven lanceolate sepals and 5-keeled petals that are yellow on the inside. The pedicle is up to 12 mm (½ in) long and 5-12 flowers are arranged in a one-sided raceme that is held above the foliage on a pinkish scape that is up to 250 mm (9µ in) tall and appear from late winter to early summer.

Fruit: The small follicle appears in a cluster and contains many tiny seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
