Propagation
Sow fresh seed during autumn in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).
Take stem cuttings of non-flowering shoots in spring or autumn.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are long-broad lanceolate with a few teeth on the margins at the apex and the narrow petiole is deeply channelled on the upper surface and is up to 450mm (18in) long.
Flower: The shallow cyathiform flowers are 6-tepalled and are arranged in a large arching terminal panicle that appears during spring.
Fruit: The spherical berries are green maturing to red and have a short stalk. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
