Propagation
Sow seed when ripe and keep moist, maintaining a temperature of 25ºC (77º F). Germination takes up to 90 days to 1-year germinating sporadically. Do not allow the seeds to dry out before sowing.


Botanic information
Leaf: The fronds are oblanceolate to oblong and has a 'V' notch at the apex or are pinnate with several leaflets. The short petiole is slender and the erect fronds are arranged terminally and become arched slightly down the stem.

Flower: The small flowers are arranged in a panicle that is up to 350mm (14in) long and appears just below the leaves during early summer.

Fruit: The black drupe is arranged on the swollen orange rachilla.
