Propagation
Seeds require a warm-cold period for 3 to 5 months prior to sowing and then placed in an open frame to germinate.

Semi hardwood cuttings taken during late summer to autumn, up to 127mm (5in) long and place in a cold frame.
Division of suckers throughout the year.

Botanic information
Leaf: The deltoid-ovate leaves have dentate to deeply lobed margins, almost to the mid rib and are 20mm to 35mm (µ in to 1? in) wide with a petiole up to 8mm (¥ in) long. The apex is acuminate and the base is cordate. The upper surface is mid green and the underside is whitish-green and the leaves turn orange-yellow during autumn before falling.

Flower: The small creamy-white cyathiform flowers have 5- small spathulate petals and 10-stamens. They are arranged in a terminal corymbose panicle and appear from late spring to early summer. They are pollinated by insects.

Fruit: The small pubescent sub-globose follicle is accompanied by the persistent calyx and contains 1 to 2 tiny glossy seeds. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
