Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 12º to 15º C. (55º to 59º F).

Semi-hardwood cuttings taken during summer apply bottom heat.
Division of suckers during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy mid green ovate leaves are glabrous above with obvious venation and the underside has tufts of hair in the vein axils. The pubescent petiole is short; the apex is acuminate and the margin is double serrated. In autumn the leaves turn yellow before falling.

Flower: The small inconspicuous campanulate flowers have prominent stamens and appear in the leaf axils during spring.

Fruit: The seed is a samara with the seed surrounded by a membranous wing. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
