Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 24º C. Seeds may require soaking over night.
This plant is difficult to transplant as it has a fine root system.
Botanic information
Leaf: The stiff textured pinnate leaves have slender segments that are up to 2mm (?in)wide. Each segment is lobed with an upward pointed acuminate apex that may be tinged in red.
Flower: The small yellow tubulate flowers are arranged in a terminal globular spike that is up to 30mm (1¥in) wide. The scale-like bracts at the base of the sessile flowers is deciduous. The flowers appear during early summer.
Fruit: The cone-like fruit contains many achenes that are covered in fine hair.
