Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.


Botanic information
Leaf: The discolorous juvenile leaves are ovate up to 170mm (6½in) long, 50mm (2in) wide. The concolorous lanceolate adult leaves may be undulating with a short petiole and the leaf tapers to an acuminate apex.

Flower: There are 7 to 11flowers arranged in an axillary umbel that has a peduncle up to 20mm (µin) long. The club-shaped (calvate) buds are pointed up to 6mm (¥in) long and the operculum is rostrate. They appear during summer.

Fruit: The capsule is pyriform with a short pedicle up to 7mm (¥in) long. It has broad disks that are level to ascending with 3-valves that are slightly exserted.
