Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are elliptical to ovate with and acute apex and tending to a cuneate base. The upper surface becomes glabrous with age, marked in white-pink along the margins and the underside is slight pubescent. It has a short pubescent petiole.

Flower: The campanulate flowers have pubescent ovate sepals and petals that become reflex up to 12mm (½in) long. The flower is 10mm (?in) long and are solitary in the upper leaf axils and appear during spring.

Fruit: The small woody capsular fruit is spherical to ovoid and has 2 to 3-valves. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
