Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).

Take semi-hardwood cuttings during summer.

Culture
This plant requires perfect drainage and tolerates a semi shaded position or protection from hot mid day sun.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are deltoid to rhomboidal with a short petiole and an acute apex. The leaf surface is covered in glands (dots) and accompanied with short white hairs. The margin tends to roll under and the mid rib is prominent.

Flower: The labiate flower has 2-calyx lobes and the upper one is broader and all covered in glandular dots with fine pubescence. They are arranged solitary in the upper leaf axils and have a short pedicleand appear during early spring.

Fruit: The small capsule is enclosed in the calyx and is composed of 4 or less nutlets that contain 1-seed and are dispersed by water. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
