Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 27º C. (66º to 81º F).

Take soft tip or semi hardwood cuttings from summer to autumn.


Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile glossy dark green leaves have an obtuse apex and the margins are strongly recurved. The upper surface has white hairs towards the apex when young.

Flower: The small sessile cratiform flowers have 5-overlapping notched petals up to 6mm (¥in) long with a central grouping of 11 to 13 stamens. The flowers are arranged in short side branches and appear in summer.

Fruit: The tiny dehiscent follicle contains globular seeds. The small seeds are not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
