Propagation
Sow seed when ripe in pots and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).
Take cuttings during summer apply bottom heat.
General pruning information
This plant will not regenerate from a hard prune into old wood but respond from a light trim directly after flowering.
Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile mid-green leaves are broad ovate to deltoid with a small abruptly acuminate apex.
Flower: The cyathiform flowers have 5-white to pink petals with a smooth calyx and the stamens are in bundles of 9. The centre is dark green and the stamens are creamy yellow.The flowers appear solitary from late spring to early summer.
Fruit: The domed capsules are green to brown and consist of 5-compartments. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
