Take soft tip or semi hardwood cuttings from summer to autumn.
Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy green leaves are oblanceolate to lanceolate with an acuminate apex. The petiole is long and the upper surface has prominent veins that produce a quilted appearance. The underside is purplish with the colour extending down the petiole.
Flower: The campanulate flowers have long red tubes with pointed sepals and are arranged in a pendant terminal raceme that appears in spring.
Fruit: The berries contain small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
