Botanic information
Leaf: The thin textured glaucous leaves are broad-ovate to broad-elliptical. The apex is notched and obtuse or shortly acute and the petiole is short. The surface is very glossy and contains numerous oil glands, and when crushed the leaves are aromatic.

Flower: The small crateriform flowers have 5-petals and a long slender pedicel and are arranged loosely in an axillary umbel on a long peduncle. The flowers appear during winter and are inconspicuous amongst the foliage.

Fruit: The small dry woody 2-celled capsular fruit is arranged in umbles and is enclosed by the persistent calyx. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
