Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 27º C. (66º to 81º F).

Note:
This species may be difficult to obtain from nurseries.
Careful when planting, as the roots are strong and can lift concrete or damage pipes.


Botanic information
Leaf: The adult palmate leaves have 5 to 9 elliptical to lanceolate leaflets and a slender petiole up to 150mm (6in) long. The leaflets are up to 130mm (5in) long radiating out from a central point on short stems and taper at both ends with an acuminate apex.

Flower: The male and female campanulate flowers are found on the same plant and have 5-triangular lobes and no petals. The flowers are arranged in an axillary panicle and appear in summer. Both the pedicels and flowers are covered in scruffy scales.

Fruit: The reddish brown ovoid samara is smooth and leathery covered in brownish scales. It has an opaque wing and clusters of fruit appear obviously in the tree.
