Botanic information
Leaf: The mid-green leaves are ovate to oblong with up to 4-shallow groves on the upper surface giving it a corrugated appearance. The apex is obtuse and the leaf often terminates a short stem.

Flower: The calceolate flowers have slender perianth segments and arranged in dense nodding raceme up to 120mm (4µin) long. The purplish labium has 3-slight raises ridges and the 2-laterial lobes are broad. The centre lobe is recurved and slender. The flowers appear during spring.

Fruit: The small fruit is a single chambered capsular that contains many small seeds that lack endosperm. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
