Propagation
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings during late summer.
Transplants easily and requiring ample moisture.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are elliptical to ovate with an acuminate apex and a petiole that is up to 12mm (½in) long. The upper surface is finely tomentose and the underside is dull green with prominentveins.
Flower: The long tubular flowers have 5-expanding red to pink petals and are arranged in a raceme-like panicle that is up to 140mm (5½in) long. It has a long flowering period during summer and are a feature of the plant.
Fruit: The capsule contains tin seeds that are not commonly used and the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
