Propagation
Sow fresh seed during autumn in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate.

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings during late summer.

Note:
This species may be difficult to obtain from nurseries.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dull green leaves are narrow obovate to oblong with a very short petiole. The apex is acute and the upper surface is covered in small glands.

Flower: The 5-pettled pink cratiform flowers have a long pedicleand are arranged in an axillary cluster towards the end of the branches. They are a feature of the plant and appear during winter.

Fruit: The small woody capsule has 2 to 4 ovules attached to a basal placenta. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be easily reproduced vegetatively.
