Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings during late summer. Apply bottom heat.

Botanic information
Leaf: The mid-green leaves have a textured upper surface that is pubescent and give it a soft appearance. The apex is acute and the petiole is short.

Flower: The rotate flower have 5-obovate pale purple petals that are whitish towards the base with a central boss of stamens. They are arranged in a panicle above the foliage that is up to 500mm (18in) tall and appear from late summer to autumn.

Fruit: The capsule contains small seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
