Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.
Take semi-hardwood cuttings taken during summer apply bottom heat.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are linear-oblanceolate to lanceolate with an acute apex. They are glabrous but when young the margins are ciliate and the petiole is very short.
Flower: The white crateriform flowers have pedicles that are up to 4mm (?in) long and have orbicular petals with prominent anthers. The sepals are persistent on the plant and the flowers are solitary or arranged in an axillary cyme with 2 to 5 blooms that appear from late spring to early summer.
Fruit: The small long stalked woody capsule is ribbed and has a concave top with 4-valves. The small seeds are viable and self-sow but the plant may be easily reproduced vegetatively.
