Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 12º to 15º C. (55º to 59º F).

Take semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The grey-green leaves are oblong to broad ovate with an obtuse apex and a short petiole. The underside is densely white tomentose and the leaf has a leathery texture.

Flower: The crateriform flowers have 6-expanded petals that are marked with a pinkish green stripe and long filaments with pink anthers. These are arranged in a dense terminal cyme that is up to 150mm (6in) wide. The flowers are accompanied by lobed bracts and appear during midsummer.

Fruit: The small capsule contains tiny seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
