Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 12º to 15º C. (55º to 59º F).
Take semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The small dark green leaves are linear to lanceolate or oblong with an abruptly acuminate apex and the underside is white and woolly.
Flower: The cyathiform flowers have 6-expanded petals that are marked with a pinkish green stripe and long filaments with pink anthers. They are arranged in open terminal umbel that is up to 150mm (6in) wide. The flowers are accompanied by lobed bracts and appear during summer.
Fruit: The small capsule contains tiny seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
