Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 12º to 15º C. (55º to 59º F).

Take semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The mid-green linear to oblong leaves are covered in white pubescent on the underside and are arranged in a whorl towards the end of the branchlets.

Flower: The cyathiform flowers have 6-expanded petals that are marked with a pinkish green stripe and long filaments with pink anthers. These are arranged in a dense terminal cyme that is up to 150mm (6in) wide and the flowers are accompanied by lobed bracts. They appear from summer to autumn.

Fruit: The tiny capsule contains tiny seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
