Botanic information
Leaf: The juvenile leaves are linear-awl shape and up to 7mm (¥in) long. The smaller adult leaves are scale-like and are closely packed along the branches and are up to 3mm (?in) long, andmay turn bronze during winter.

Flower: The cylindrical male cones are arranged in a short axillary spike and the female cones are solitary and terminal. They appear during spring.

Fruit: The cone contains a single blue-black ovoid seed that is up to 3mm (?in) long.The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
