Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate.

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring to early summer.
Divide the rhizome during spring or autumn.


Botanic information
Leaf: The silvery green leaves are linear to oblong and is toothed towards the apex. The upper surface is greyish pubescent and the underside is densely woolly. The sessile leaves have an acute apex with 3 to 5 large serrations.

Flower: The tiny yellow radiate flower heads are arranged in a dense panicle that is up to 200mm (8in) long. They appear during summer.

Fruit: The small cypsela (seed) are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
