Propagation
Sow seed when ripe and place in a cold frame to germinate.

Take semi hardwood cuttings taken during late summer and apply bottom heat.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy leathery oblong to oblanceolate leaves have an obtuse apex and a reddish petiole up to 20mm (µin) long. The underside pale dull green and the young foliage is coppery red and are arranged whorled towards the end of the branch.

Flower: The small cyathiform flowers have 5-fused sepals and 5 overlapping white petals and are solitary or arranged in a small cluster or 3, appearing in the leaf axils or on the internodes of the previous season`s growth during spring.

Fruit: The small pendant fleshy berry is greenish yellow maturing to bright red. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
