Propagation
Sow fresh seed during autumn in pots.

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring to early summer.

Note:
Avoid pruning during winter or early spring as the oozing sap may encourage fungal disease. When used as a cut flower cut back stem to the nearest node on the stem.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glosy dark green leaves are obovate to broad lanceolate with an acute to obtuse apex. The short petiole is reddish and the leaves have a thin texture with prominentvenation on the upper surface.

Flower: The 5-pettled pink cyathiform flowers appear solitary or occur in a cluster of 2 to 3 and with the new leaves from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The small drupe is pubescent and the tiny seeds are viable but the plant may be easily reproduced vegetatively.
