Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 27º C. (66º to 81º F).

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring and semi hardwood cuttings during summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The large leaves are pinnate or bipinnate with ovate leaflets that are up to 120mm (5in) long and when crushed have an odou rlike celery. The leaflet stalk is up to 12mm (½in) long and the margin is undulating or serrated with an acuminate apex.

Flower: The mauve crateriform flowers have a short pedicle with 5 purple black sepals. The rounded ovary is topped with 5 flattened egg-shaped petals that are raise along the margins, and inflexed at the apex. They are arranged in a large terminal panicle that appears during autumn.

Fruit: The rounded purplish drupe tends to be flattened or compressed. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
