Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings during late summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The grey-green leaves are ovate to oblong and densely covered in whitish star-shaped pubescent on the underside that extends to the up-curved margins. It has a short petiole with an obtuse apex and has a soft felty texture.
Flower: The yellow tubulate flowers have 2-lips with the upper overlapping the lower and there are up to 30 flowers arranged in a clustered whorl along the stems. They appear during midsummer.
Fruit: The small nutlet is not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
