Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

General pruning information
Eucalyptusspecies require little pruning apart from removal of damaged or dead wood, which should be taken off at the collar. If the tree is cut back hard it will produce epicormic shoots and the crown may be lifted or thinned by removal of selected branches.

Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile ovate juvenile leaves are opposite to alternate with a petiole up to 120mm (4µin) long. The leathery textured adult leaves are broad lanceolate, petiolate and tapering to an acuminate apex. Both juvenile and adult leaves are discolorous.

Flower: The white flowers have a peduncle that is up to 60mm ((2½in) long and the buds are ovoid with a conical to rostrate opercula. There are up to 15 blooms are arranged in an axillary or terminal umbel that appears from late spring to summer.

Fruit: The small hemispherical to globular shaped capsule has a narrow disk that may be descending and the 3 to 4 valves are at rim level or enclosed.
