Propagation
Sow fresh seeds and place in a protected environment until spring.

Take semi hardwood cuttings taken during summer.
Divide the suckers during spring.

Note:
Care should be taken when selecting a sight as the tree has vigorous roots that can lift concrete and block drains.


Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile dark green elliptical leaves are narrow-ovate with a channelled mid rib above and a small keel below. The leathery textured leaves have an acute apex and is slightly pubescent when young.

Flower: The pale yellow to white cyathiform flowers have stamens that are up to 7mm (¥in) long in bundles of 15 to 20. The flowers are arranged in a short terminal cylindrical spike during spring.

Fruit: The small woody capsule is urn-shaped and contains numerous tiny seeds that are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
