Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings during late summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dull green leaves are broad-ovate and may have 3 to 5 lobes. It has a long petiole up to 80mm (3in) long and an obtuse apex.
Flower: The 5-pettled funnelform flowers have a crimson centre and apppear solitary in the leaf axils from spring to midsummer.
Fruit: The small capsule contains seeds with little endosperm andare viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
