Propagation
Sow fresh seed singularly in a pot during spring and maintain a temperature of 18º to 21º C. (64º to 75º F).

General pruning information
This plants tolerate a light prune to a node normally after flowering. Do not prune into old wood as it will not regenerate and if the plant has become leggy and woody it will not regenerate after a hard prune. It requires replacement.


Botanic information
Leaf: The mid-green acicular leaves are terete with a pointed apex. They are arranged alternatly towwards the end of the branchlets.

Flower: The small red tubulate flowers are arranged in an axillary cluster and appear during spring but 0utside its native region the flowers are reluctant to appear.

Fruit: The woody follicle tapers to a point and contains a winged seed.
