Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification.
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring to early summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The grey-green trifoliate leaves have 3 ovate to lanceolate leaflets that are up to 50mm (2in) long and the leaf has a long petiole.
Flower: The green to yellowish papillionate flowers have a large pointed standard petal that is ovate and the long incurved keel is beaked. The flowers are arranged in a terminal raceme that appears during summer.
Fruit: The fruit is a swollen pod up to 8mm (½ in) wide and becomes hard with loose seeds inside. The seeds have no aril, but are viable and the plant may be easily reproduced vegetatively.
