Sow fresh seeds during spring, in containers and prick out when large enough to handle.
Botanic information
Leaf: The grey-green sessile linear leaves are up to 2 mm wide with an acute apex. The margins are entire to recurve and the underside is covered in fine hairs.
Flower: The flower head is up to 7 mm (¥ in)long and wide with 8-10 involucral bracts with the inner being longer and the outer bracts woolly. The flower heads are arranged in a compact terminal corymbose cluster appearing from late spring to summer.
Fruit: The tiny slightly compressed oblong achene has 4-distinct angles and may be hairy or glabrous. It contains seeds with fine white barbed pappus bristles.
