Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification.
Botanic information
Leaf: The silvery-grey phyllodes are narrow lanceolate up to 10mm (½in) wide and may be straight or curved and are covered in minute pubescence. The apex is acuminate and the base is tapering with a gland near the base.
Flower: The bisexual tubulate flowers have inconspicuous sepals and petals but prominentexserted stamens. The flowers are arranged in a rounded cluster in an axillary raceme with a peduncle up to 5mm (¥in) long and appear from autumn to early winter.
Fruit: The flattened pod is straight or curved with predominately winged margins. The small oval seeds are brown and up to 7mm (¥in) long.
