Propagation
Surface sow fresh seeds during spring and prick out when large enough to handle.

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during spring and place in a well-drained media. Maintain a warm humid environment.

Botanic information
Leaf: The thick textured dark green sessile lanceolate leaves have an acute apex and are pale green on the underside with prominent venation. When crushed the leaf has a mint fragrance.

Flower: The tubulate flowers have a long arching whitish-blue tube up to 25 mm (1in) long with two spreading violet-blue semicircular lips. They are arranged in a terminal spike and in tropical or subtropical climates the flowers appear throughout the year otherwise during summer.

Fruit: The tiny 2-locular capsule contains many small seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
