Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 27º C. (66º to 81º F).
Take leaf cuttings from spring to summer and placed in warm humid environment.
Note:
As a container plant place in a position with indirect bright light with high humidity and good air circulation. When watering avoid watering the leaves as this causes fungal rot.
Botanic information
Leaf: The bright green leaves are ovate to elliptical with an undulating margin. The pubescent surface has a quilted appearance and certain forms have silvery margins. The texture is thick and fleshy and the underside is pale green with prominentveins. The petiole is short and the apex is acute.
Flower: The tubulate flowers are white with yellow markings and tinged in purple pink. They are arranged on a short loose terminal cluster during spring or autumn but the plant only blooms occasionally.
Fruit: The capsules are long and narrow and the seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
