Propagation
Take stem cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period up to 80mm (3in) long.
Sow fresh seed during spring in pots.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are elliptical-oblong and has a fleshy texture. The upper surface is glabrous and the deep purple underside is intensely pubescent.
Flower: The pink buds open to crateriform flowers with 3 petals that are white, pink to purple and are arranged in a axillary cyme that appears during spring, but may also appear intermediately throughout the year.
Fruit: The small capsule contains tiny seed that are not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
