Propagation
Pre soak seeds for 12 hours prior to sowing and place in a greenhouse to germinate. Germination occurs within 10 days and seedlings should be picked out when large enough to handle.

Alternatively seeds can be sown in situ during late spring in a prepared bed.
Plant out after the last expected frost.

Note:
The climbing form should be planted in a raised garden bed and space 600 mm to 1200 mm apart in rows.
The dwarf or bushy forms should be planted in raised garden its own space 750 mm apart in rows.

Botanic information
Leaf: The large mid green trifoliate leaves have broad ovate leaflets that are up to 88 mm (3½ in) long with an acute apex and a truncate base. The slender green petiole is up to 160 mm (6¥ in) long and is accompanied with a twinning tendril.

Flower: The small yellow or white papillionate flowers are up to 10 mm wide (? in) and arranged in a loose raceme and appear during early summer.

Fruit: Generally fleshy textured oblong pod is generally recurved and is up to 220 mm (8?) long by 25 mm (1 in) wide and contains 2-4 seeds. The seeds are variable in size and shape from 10 mm (? in) to 30 mm (1? in) long and the colour varies from white to cream, red, purple brown and black or mottled. Care should be taken as raw or mature seeds are poisonous as they contain hydrocyanic which can be destroyed by thoroughly cooking or boiled.
