Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green leaves are elliptical to ovate with a reddish short petiole and an acuminate apex.

Flower: The large rotate flowers are available in a wide range of colours including white to pink, lavender and orange in single and in doubles. They appear just above the foliage from spring to autumn.

Fruit: The slender ovoid 5-ribbed capsule explodes when ripe to scatter the seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plants often hybridise. To maintain continuity it is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
