Propagation
Divide the rhizome during spring.

Sow fresh seed during winter to spring in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green reniform leaves have entire or slightly serrated margins and the texture is leathery. The upper surface has prominentveins and the margins are undulating or tend to roll downwards. The slender petiole is reddish and long.


Flower: The yellow radiate flower heads are arranged in an open corymb on a branched scape that is held high above the foliage from autumn to early winter.

Fruit: The small seed is not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
