Propagation
Sow seed when ripe and place in a cold frame to germinate.
Take semi-hardwood cuttings taken during late summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green oblong leaves have a short petiole with an obtuse apex and has a prominent mid rib. The texture is stiff and leathery and thw leaves turn reddish during winter.
Flower: The crateriform flowers are white with a pinkish ting and appear solitary in the leaf axils during spring.
Fruit: The spherical pome is reddish pink with a short peduncle and dark base. They persist on the plant throughout winter and the small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
