Propagation
Sow ripe seed and maintain a temperature of 20º to 25º C. (68º to 77º F).

Takes stem cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.
Divide the rhizome during spring

Note:
If plant parts are ingested it may cause stomach upset.


Botanic information
Leaf: The large glossy green cordate leaves have basial lobes that almost completely united and the underside is reddish. The long petiole is up to 600mm (24in) long and the apex is acuminate.

Flower: The purplish spathe is up to 150mm (6in) tall and contains numerous tiny flowers and appears during summer.

Fruit: The small orange-red berry is produced in clusters and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
