Propagation
Take semi-hardwood cuttings taken during summer and apply bottom heat.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green leaves are lanceolate to oval with the undersides covered in short white hairs, these hairs are also found on the branchlets. The leaf is sessile with an acute apex and the margins tend to be recurved.

Flower: The small urceolate flowers are arranged in a terminal raceme that is up to 100mm (4in) tall above the foliage on a dark mauve, nodding peduncle. The petals are pinkish-purple and fall from the plant after flowering during summer.

Fruit: The small capsule contains tiny seeds that are not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
