Propagation
Sow fresh seed during autumn in a prepared bed.
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during early summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are oblong to elliptical-ovate with prominent venation on the upper surface and a lighter green underside. The apex is obtuse to acuminate and the petiole is up to 12mm (½in) long. During autumn the leaves turn yellow.

Flower: The small white crateriform flowers are arranged in a dense raceme that is up to 80mm (3in) long and appear on the previous seasons growth during spring.

Fruit: The black drupe is fleshy with a single hard centre (stone) pea size seed that is viable. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
