Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate.

Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring to early summer.
Divide established clumps from late spring to early summer.


Botanic information
Leaf: The blue-green leaves are linear to lanceolate and are arranged in a whorl or oppositely.

Flower: The 2-lipped flower is tubulate to funnelform with the upper lobe having 2-lips and the lower, 3-lips and are arranged in a terminal raceme that appears during summer. The flower colour ranges from pink-red at the base turning blue towards the expanded petals.

Fruit: The small capsule is attached to the persistent calyx and the is 2-locular. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be easily reproduced vegetatively.
