Propagation
Sow fresh seed during autumn in pots and place in a cold frame to germinate.

Take semi-hardwood cuttings taken during summer apply bottom heat.
Divide the suckers during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green lanceolate leaves are covered in silvery scales on the underside and the leaf apex is obtuse. The petiole is up to 35mm (1½in) long and is covered in silver scales with the adjoining branchlets.

Flower: The white to yellow tubulate flowers appear in groups of 1 to 3 in the leaf axils and the flowering period is from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The silvery-yellowish drupe is ovoid with a short stalk and has a sweet taste. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
