Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings during late summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are narrow-elliptical to broad lanceolate with silky pubescent on the underside. The apex is abruptly acuminate and the whitish petiole is long.
Flower: The male and female flowers are found on different plants and are arranged in axillary catkins that appear before the leaves during spring.
Fruit: The small drupe contains seeds but is not commonly used and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
